Last glance at D.C. and first at NYC

Well everybody must know (or have heard) that New York City is wonderful!
Big and busy, could stay here forever and keep myself entertained.
But I miss home a lot tho. They say that home is where your heart is. My heart is not only somewhere else, it is with somebody else too and that's why I'm not home on the other side of the world.

Sanotaan et "home is where your heart is" (eli koti on siellä missä sydänkin).

And sorry about the lack of photos. The internet at our hotel sucks and I can't upload them :-(
Ja sori ettei oo enempää kuvia. Netti ei toimi tääl hotellilla, enkä pysty lataamaan niitä :-(

Simply D.C.

I love this city. It's so big and yet somehow so calm. I could picture myself living some place like this.

And I officially hate my camera and every picture I take with it. And I have also too many pics to choose from, so this posting is kind of picture vomit and at the same time there is not even one quarter of the things I have seen in here. Maybe I just can't look at them yet to desice.

Road trip(ish)

In the car! (not when I actually update this to my blog)
Cincinnati Red’s game was cool, but long as ever. Almost two hours longer than usual. Before that I hang out with Tiara and her best friend Marissa at Applebee’s, we broke the ice with talking about all kinds of weird stuff we do in our home countries. Our sauna is weird to them and their groceries stores are totally weird to me.
Yesterday I was at movies with Tiara (ofc). All the others went to see movie Ted (basically about teddy bear having sex, but it’s from the creators of Family Guy so that’s what you get). So their movie started little earlier than your Katy Perry- Part of Me and we went to the mall and took a little tour around the village. And yeah, got badly lost and end up being almost 20 minutes late from the movies, but just for the time it started. But it was fun, laughed a lot. The movie was awesome also, but somehow sad also. After that we went to my mom’s friend’s house to have dinner, the whole family was there. Grandparents, children and 5 grandchildren, all girls. So there was a lot of pretty girl kisses for the grandpa and lots of love. Last hours of the day we hang out at Tiara and Treg’s grandma’s. I told a lot about my friends and tried to teach some Finnish names to Tiara, it was fun to listen to. After we got back “home” we got some lovely presents from the “hostfamily”. Friends forever Teddy bear and some American tourist stuff.
Today was the time for sad goodbyes, and that was exactly how it was. I already miss my new American sister/best friend.

Autossa!
Me rikottiin jää puhumalla kaikenlaisista oudoista jutuista joita meil on meidän omissa kotimaissa.
No niitten leffa alko vähän aikasemmin ku meijän Katy Perry- Part of Me ja me mentiin sitte vähän kiertää ostarille ja tehtiin pikkunen kierros siel kylässä.

Ohio!

Here!
Already been here 4 days. Lots of new people, eating and having fun. So we are staying at my mom's old hostsister's. They have a "farm" on the countryside, just outside the cute little village- so we are pretty much middle of nowhere. But we have been out in the town Dayton with and met some cool people who also took care of my mom while she was here. Hear lots of stories.

We also had this kind of big meal day before yesterday where mom reunited with lots of her old friends.
Yesterday we headed to King's Island, which is an amusement park. Lot more bigger rides than in Finland, so my brother and mom really enjoyed it. I just went to few rides and just sat there and enjoyed the atmosphere. After that we had a little bonfire because I told Tiara (mom's hostsister's daughter) I never really have done that. I saw fireflies the first time in my life, and that was great! I also ate my first smores!

Today is Red's game time! And maybe Katy Perry- movie or fishing or just hanging around, depending what we decide to do with Tiara and others. Everybody in Finland keep saying that baseball is boring to watch, but we will see.

I wish I could blog more often here too, but I'm just way too tired everyday after being up and going 12hours at least. So the pics are going to suck because there is no good programs on my mom's laptop and I have been up and going almost 15 hours more or less.

Täällä!
Ollaan oltu jo oikeestaa 4 päivää. Kauhee määrä uusia ihmisiä, syömistä ja hauskanpitoo. Me yövytään äidin vanhan hostsiskon luona. Niillä on tällänen "maatila", just ja just söpön pienen kylän ulkopuolella- eli ollaan aika paljolti keskellä ei mitää.
